Das B-Finale des Viergangs gestaltete sich heute schon im Vorfeld spannend, denn insgesamt vier Reiter hatten ihre Teilnahme gestrichen. Deshalb rutschte die junge deutsche Reiterin Johanna Beuk auf den letzten Platz des B-Finales und konnte das Können von Merkur von Birkenlund unter Beweis stellen.
Im Viergang gelten alle Prüfungsteile gleich, weshalb es bis zum Schluss spannend war. Schon in den Vorrunden lagen die Ergebnisse so nah beieinander, dass jeder der Teilnehmer zu den Gewinnern zählen konnte. Im heute Morgen stattgefundenen B-Finale starteten schließlich für Island Hulda Gústafsdóttir zusammen mit der Norwegerin Agnes Helga Helgadóttir, der US-Reiterin Ásta D. Bjarnadóttir-Covert, der Isländerin Hekla Katharína Kristinsdóttir und der deutschen jungen Reiterin Johanna Beuk.

Johanne Beuk startete mit Merkur von Birkenlund mit einem schönen langsamen Tölt (7,0), gefolgt von Trab, den Johanna im Leichttraben ausführte. Schwungvoll und ausholend bekam sie von den Richtern dafür 7,50 Punkte. Locker, schreitend und gut untergreifend präsentierte sich auch der Schritt, den Johanna mit 7,83 Punkten zusammen mit der punktgleichen Agnes Helga Helgadóttir für sich entschied. Leider hatte sie im Galopp weniger Glück. Und der schön gelaufene schnelle Tölt war leider nicht schnell genug. Mit einer Gesamtnote von respektablen 7,43 hatte Johanna damit eine glanzvolle Leistung erbracht, die allerdings nur für den 10. Platz ausreichte.
Einzig ins A-Finale: Hulda Gústafsdóttir
Eine herausragende Leistung zeigte auch Hulda Gústafsdóttir auf ihrem Kjuði frá Kirkjuferjuhjáleigu. Den Galopp mit Wow-Effekt belohnte nicht nur das Publikum mit tosendem Applaus, auch die Richter vergaben dafür 9,0 Punkte. Mit einer Gesamtnite von 7,70 Punkten zieht Hulda Gústafsdóttir damit ins morgen stattfindende A-Finale ein. Sie wird sich dann mit Frauke Schenzel, Isabell Felsum, Hinrik Bragason, Anne Stine Haugen und Tina Lamo Pedersen messen.
