Gleich zwei Weltmeister starteten heute in das B-Finale im Fünfgang in St. Radegund: Stian Pedersen (Fünfgang) und Magnus Skulason (Töltpreis). Bei vollen Tribünen und sommerlichen Sonnenscheintemperaturen lief aber nicht alles so, wie sich die Teilnehmer das vielleicht wünschten.
Pech gehabt
Mit am Start waren Samantha Leidesdorff[nbsp] aus Dänemark mit ihrem Casanova vom Hrafnsholt. Im Pass fiel Casanova allerdings immer wieder zu früh in den Galopp. Die letzte Runde galoppierte er sogar gesamt durch. Dies schlug sich mit einer niedrigen Gesamtnite von 6,36 Punkten nieder. Auch die schwedische junge Reiterin Sandra Jonsson hatte Pech. Erst gelang es ihr nicht, ihren Ari från Stora Öllstorp in den Galopp zu bekommen, dann galoppierte er anstatt Pass zu zeigen. Da der Tölt allerdings ebenso wie der Schritt gut ausfiel, erhielt sie 6,67 Punkte.
Der Weltmeister im Fünfgang Stian Pedersen aus Norwegen hatte mit seinem Léttir fra Hellesylt auch wenig Glück. Der Pass gelang ihm nur mit Mühe, so dass seine Gesamtnote leider bei 7,17 Punkten lag.
Der Sieger: Magnús Skúlason
Gänsehautmomente erlebte das Stadion hingegen beim Schweden Magnús Skúlason. Nach guten Leistungen im Tölt (8,5) und Trab (7,33) zeigte Hraunar frá Efri-Rauðalæk einen super Pass, den das Publikum bejohlte. Beim zweiten Durchlauf forderte Magnús sein Publikum sogar auf, noch lauter zu applaudieren. Er spielte geradezu mit den Zuschauern und zeigte drei Mal in Folge tollen Rennpass. Mit einer Gesamtnote von 7,93 gelang ihm damit der Einzug ins morgige A-Finale.
Morgen geht es ins A-Finale
Nun starten morgen gleich sieben Reiter im A-Finale, da Rúna Einardóttir Zingsheim und Àrni Bjrön Pálsson - beide für Island startend - mit 7,13 punktgleich auf Rang 5 im A-Finale stehen. Auch Julie Christiansen und Vicky Eggertsson starten mit 7,23 punktgleich auf Rang 3 im A-Finale. Hoffen wir, dass Vicky morgen mit ihrem Kvikur tolle Leistungen zeigen wird!
