Hier kommt ihr zum Qualifikationsmodus für den FEIF Youth Cup 2026.
Zuerst musst du unter „Mein IPZV“ mit einem Klick deine Bereitschaft zur Teilnahme am FEIF Youth Cup erklären. Um in die Auswahl für das deutscheTeam zu kommen, ist eine Teilnahme an mindestens einem unserer Qualifikationsturniere erforderlich.
Folgende Turniere sind Qualifikationsturniere für den FEIF Youth Cup:
Nachdem alle Turniere beendet sind, erfolgt ein Ranking, beschrieben im FYC Qualifikationsmodus, wonach die acht Teilnehmer des Team Germany ermittelt werden.
Am ersten Tag werden internationale Teams gebildet, in denen die Jugendlichen gemeinsam trainieren, unter der Obhut eines Teamleaders. Alle Teams trainieren bei allen Trainern in den unterschiedlichsten Prüfungsarten, um herauszufinden, welche Pferd-Reiter-Kombination in der jeweiligen Prüfung an den letzten beiden Turniertagen für seine Mannschaft an den Start geht.
Wir freuen uns sehr, den Jugendlichen fünf erfahrene Trainer*innen an die Seite stellen zu können. Alle bringen viele Jahre Erfahrung im Islandpferdesport mit, waren teilweise selbst schon bei früheren FEIF Youth Cups dabei und arbeiten mit viel Engagement und Erfahrung mit Jugendlichen. Sie wissen genau, worauf es ankommt, und freuen sich schon jetzt auf eine tolle gemeinsame Zeit. Doch jetzt lassen wir sie sich einfach selbst vorstellen:
Svenja Braun:
„Mein Name ist Svenja Braun und ich freue mich riesig, erneut beim FEIF YouthCup als Trainer tätig sein zu dürfen! Ich selbst hatte vor vielen, vielen Jahren eine unvergessliche Zeit, als ich als Teilnehmer dabei war. Und nun liebe ich es, den Kreis zum zweiten Mal in meiner Rolle als Trainer schließen zu dürfen. Genauso wie die Inhalte des FEIF Youth Cup stehe ich in meiner Arbeit mit Pferden für Vielseitigkeit, Kommunikation und Freude. Ich kann es kaum abwarten und freue mich darauf, euch kennenzulernen!“
Reinhard Loidl:
„Ich lebe und arbeite seit 1989 mit Islandpferden. Anfangs hatte ich den großen Drang, unbedingt der Beste sein zu wollen. Noch immer spüre ich ihn in mir, doch ich fand über die Jahre hinweg zu der Überzeugung, dass es gar nicht möglich ist, dieses Ziel zu erreichen. Gleichzeitig glaube ich aber auch, dass dieses Streben nach oben notwendig ist, um zu lernen, weiter-zukommen und besser zu werden. Akribisch und selbstkritisch, aber vor allem kritisch gegenüberdem, was im „großen“ Pferdesport passiert, war ich stets auf der Suche nach Antworten. Ich hatte das Privileg, in Michael Laussegger, ehemaliger Bereiter der Spanischen Hofreitschule zu Wien und Buchautor, einen Mentor zu finden. Er gab mir sowohl am Pferd, vor allem aber auch neben dem Pferd Werte mit, die ich nun versuche weiterzugeben. Es ist das Gefühl, aber auch die absolute Ehrlichkeit, die uns Pferde wiedergeben können, die uns unsere Schwächen und Ausreden aufdecken. Ich hatte das große Glück, mit einigen isländischen Reitern befreundet gewesen zu sein, die dieses Gefühl auf natürliche Weise in sich trugen. Dazu gehören unter anderem Thomas Ragnarsson und Albert Jónsson. Sie haben sich nicht erklärt, aber man hat „es“ gespürt, wenn man das denn wollte. Meine sportlichen Erfolge waren gut für das Ego und für wertvolle Erinnerungen. Gelernt und mein Wissen erweitert habe ich immer an Niederlagen auf meinem Weg. Mein Wissen weiterzugeben, mit denjenigen zusammenzuarbeiten, die mir vertrauen, an eine Sache, ein Problem heranzugehen und zu versuchen, dies zu verstehen und zu lösen - dies war und ist meine Motivation zu unterrichten.“
Lena Maxheimer:
„Die Arbeit mit jungen Reiterinnen und Reitern liegt mir besonders am Herzen - genau deshalb freue ich mich sehr, in diesem Jahr als Trainerin beim FEIF Youth-Cup tätig zu sein. Der Youth Cup steht nicht nur für sportliche Leistung, sondern vor allem für Gemeinschaft, Fairness und die Freude am Islandpferdesport. Mich begeistert es, junge Talente auf ihrem Weg zu begleiten, sie fachlich zu unterstützen und ihnen gleichzeitig Selbstvertrauen, Motivation und Spaß am Reiten zu vermitteln. Gerade in einem internationalen Umfeld wie dem FEIF Youth Cup lernen die Teilnehmenden, über sich hinauszuwachsen, neue Erfahrungen zu sammeln und wertvolle Kontakte zu knüpfen. Als Trainerin sehe ich meine Aufgabe darin, jede Pferd-Reiter-Kombination individuell in ihren Stärken zu fördern und bestmöglich im Training und im Wettbewerb zu unterstützen. Teil dieses besonderen Events zu sein, bedeutet für mich zum einen, einen aktiven Beitrag zur Nachwuchsförderung im Sport zu leisten und zum anderen finde ich es spannend, Rieden als Veranstaltungsort im Hinblick auf die WM 2027 genauer kennenzulernen. Ich freue mich sehr auf die gemeinsame Zeit und den Austausch auf dem Feif Youth Cup, da er durch seinen internationalen Charakter, den geforderten Teamgeist und nötige Vielseitigkeit innerhalb der Prüfungen eine ganz besondere Veranstaltung für junge Reiter ist.“
Bea Rusterholz:
„Meine erste Reitstunde fand 1986 auf Islandpferden statt. Der Stall wurde von meinen Eltern ausgewählt, weil die Pferde so viel Mähne haben, um sich daran festzuhalten. Heute betreibe ich zusammen mit meinem Mann Martin genau dieses Islandpferdegestüt Niederfeld mit 100 Pferden. Wir haben immer noch eine große Reitschule, mit Angeboten vom Kinderunterricht bis zum Trainer A-Kurs. 1998 fand meine erste Trainerprüfung statt, 2015 erfüllteich alle Anforderungen zur Ausbilderin. Ich ritt eine Zeit lang recht aktiv auf Turnieren, aber als die Kinder grösser wurden, bekamen sie immer die besten Pferde im Stall und mein Schwerpunkt verlagerte sich deutlich mehr auf Unterrichten und Coachen von Reitern aller Altersklassen. Die langfristige Freude an der Mitarbeit der Pferde hatfür mich hohe Priorität im Unterricht. Saubere Grundlagenarbeit von Reiter und Pferd als Basis für alle Leistungen ist für mich unabdingbar. Deshalb schaute ich schon zu Beginn auch aus der Islandpferdeszene hinaus und bildete mich im Bereich Dressurreiten regelmäßig weiter."
Lisa Schürger:
„Ich freue mich, 2026 als Trainer beim FYC in Rieden dabei sein und die jungen Reiter bei einer sicher unvergesslichen Woche begleiten zu dürfen. Ich selbst war 2006 in St. Radegund mit meinem ersten eigenen Pferd Pukra vom Aischtal als Teilnehmer dabei und bin seitdem ein großer Fan dieser tollen Veranstaltung, die ich gerne unterstütze!“
Im Folgenden geben wir die wichtigsten Informationen der Einladung der FEIF wieder. Die gesamte Einladung ist hier zu finden.
Registrierung und weitere Informationen
Im Namen der FEIF und des IPZV e.V. möchten wir Sie herzlich zum 15. FEIF YouthCup (FYCup) nach Deutschland einladen, der am https://www.gut-matheshof.de stattfindet.
Teilnahmeberechtigt sind junge Reiter, die im Jahr des FYCup 14, 15, 16 oder 17 Jahre alt werden. Alle teilnehmenden Pferde müssen bei WorldFengur registriert sein.
Anbei finden Sie die erforderlichen Informationen und Formulare für Reiter und Helfer. Der FYCup wird gemäß den FEIF Rules and Regulations 2026 (veröffentlicht am 1. April) organisiert. Die Beschreibung der Prüfungen des FYCup ist in den Sportregeln enthalten und kann von der Website heruntergeladen werden:

Die Gesamtkosten für die Teilnehmer betragen 1015 € (einschließlich 950 € Teilnahmegebühr plus 65 € Trainer- und Richtergebühr). Country Leaders (CL) und andere Offizielle zahlen 500 € – darin sind Unterkunft und alle Mahlzeiten enthalten. Team Leaders (TL) erhalten kostenlose Verpflegung und Unterkunft (keine Teilnahmegebühr).
Teilnahmeberechtigte Reiter
Teilnahmeberechtigt sind alle Jugendlichen, die im Jahr des FYCup 14, 15, 16 oder 17 Jahre alt werden. Ein Altersnachweis ist erforderlich; eine Kopie eines gültigen Ausweises, z. B. eines Reisepasses oder ähnlichem, ist an office@feif.org zu senden.
Die nationalen Jugendleiter sind dafür verantwortlich, nur teilnahmeberechtigte Reiter auszuwählen.
Alle Teilnehmer müssen Teil einer Gruppe sein, die von einem nominierten Country Leader (CL) betreut wird. Es ist möglich, dass ein CL Teilnehmer aus mehr als einer Nation betreut. Wir empfehlen dringend, dass ein Country Leader maximal 7 Teilnehmer betreut oder von einem zweiten Country Leader begleitet wird, wenn das Team mehr als 7 Teilnehmer umfasst. Vereinbarungen dieser Art müssen dem FEIF-Büro schriftlich bestätigt werden.
Pferde
Der FYCup ist ein internationaler Wettbewerb. Alle teilnehmenden Pferde (einschließlich Leihpferde für Teilnehmer) müssen einen gültigen Pass vorweisen und bei WorldFengur registriert sein. Die Angaben auf den Registrierungsunterlagen der Pferde werden mit den Daten bei WorldFengur abgeglichen. Alle Pferde müssen gemäß den FEIF-Sportregeln beschlagen sein und über die erforderlichen Impfungen verfügen – siehe Kapitel 4. FEIF- und FEI-Impfvorschriften.

Pferde, die nicht ordnungsgemäß geimpft sind, werden nicht zur Teilnahme zugelassen. Bitte überprüfen Sie rechtzeitig die Impfpapiere (im Zweifelsfall wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Tierarzt).
Bei Ankunft des Pferdes am Veranstaltungsort muss eine ordnungsgemäße Dokumentation der Impfungen vorgelegt werden. Pferden ohne vollständige Impfungen wird der Zutritt zum Veranstaltungsort verweigert.
Versicherung
Alle Teilnehmer MÜSSEN über eine gültige persönliche Versicherung verfügen, Gesundheits-, Unfall- und Haftpflichtrisiken abdeckt. Die Absicherung der Pferde liegt in der Verantwortung des Reiters/Besitzers zusammen mit dem CL. Alle Reiter und Freiwilligen nehmen auf eigenes Risiko am FYCup teil.
Die Art der abgeschlossenen Versicherung muss von jedem Teilnehmer sorgfältig geprüft werden und besondere Umstände wie den Gesundheitszustand, die Frage, ob der Teilnehmer mit eigenem Pferd und eigener Ausrüstung anreist, oder ein Pferd und Ausrüstung ausleiht, usw. berücksichtigen. Der CL sollte ebenfalls eine geeignete Versicherung abschließen, insbesondere eine Haftpflichtversicherung.
Die FEIF und die Ausrichter übernehmen keine Verantwortung für Verletzungen und Unfälle von Teilnehmern, Freiwilligen oder Pferden.
Reiter, die ein Leihpferd nutzen müssen, müssen sicherstellen, dass das Pferd ausreichend versichert ist, entweder durch bestehende Versicherungsvereinbarungen des Besitzers oder durch eine spezielle Versicherungspolice für die Veranstaltung, die vor dem FYCup in Absprache mit dem Besitzer abgeschlossen wurde. Alle Vereinbarungen werden ausschließlich zwischen dem Besitzer der Pferde und denjenigen getroffen, die das Pferd ausleihen. Die FEIF und das Organisationskomitee (OK) werden sich nicht in diese Vereinbarungen einmischen.
Haftung
Reiter: Die Reiter erklären, dass die Teilnahme an dieser Veranstaltung sowie die Unterbringung und Versorgung der Pferde auf eigene Gefahr erfolgen.
Alle Teilnehmer müssen ein Haftungsformular ausfüllen und unterschreiben. Dieses muss auch von den Eltern oder einer verantwortlichen Person unterschrieben werden. Eine gescannte Kopie des Formulars ist an office@feif.org zu senden, und CL muss das Original in Papierform zum FYCup mitbringen.
Pferd: Für die Dauer der Veranstaltung muss jedes teilnehmende Pferd über eine gültige Haftpflichtversicherung verfügen. Als Besitzer/Reiter bleiben Sie für etwaige Schäden verantwortlich. Weder die FEIF noch die Veranstaltungsorganisation oder der IPZV e.V. übernehmen eine Haftung. Weder die Veranstalter noch der IPZV e.V. noch der Grundstückseigentümer können für Schäden an Menschen, Tieren und/oder Ausrüstung haftbar gemacht werden. Der Reiter erklärt, dass das Pferd gesund ist, aus einem gesunden Bestand stammt und gemäß den FEI-Regeln geimpft ist.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass für alle internationalen Pferdetransporte die TRACES-Vorschriften gelten.
Hinweis für Eltern
Eltern, Freunde und Verwandte sind herzlich eingeladen, als Zuschauer am Wettkampfteil des FYCup teilzunehmen. Eltern, persönliche Trainer und andere Unterstützer werden jedoch gebeten, die Regel zu beachten, dass sie sich während des Trainingsteils der Veranstaltung ohne ausdrückliche Genehmigung nicht auf dem Gelände des FYCup aufhalten dürfen.
Während des Wettkampfs werden die Eltern gebeten, sich in dem für Besucher ausgewiesenen Bereich aufzuhalten. Eltern ist es nicht gestattet, den Reitern während des Wettkampfs zu helfen.

Regeln:
Es gelten die FEIF General and Sport Rules 2026. Weitere Informationen werden im Frühjahr 2026 in einer Reihe von Online-Meetings bekannt gegeben.
Den Teilnehmern des FYCup ist es zu KEINER ZEIT gestattet, Nikotin oder Alkohol zu konsumieren oder andere Drogen zu sich zu nehmen. Verstöße gegen diese Regel können dazu führen, dass der Teilnehmer auf eigene Kosten nach Hause geschickt wird.
Informationen für Country Leader (CL)
CL müssen mindestens 25 Jahre alt sein. Es ist sehr wichtig, dass CL gut Englisch sprechen, teamfähig sind und sich durchsetzen können. Der CL sollte seine Gruppe im Voraus über die Ideen und Grundsätze des FYCup sowie über die Bedeutung des internationalen Geistes der Zusammenarbeit informieren und gegebenenfalls daran erinnern. Alle CL müssen an den täglichen CL-Besprechungen teilnehmen. Die Hauptaufgabe der CL besteht darin, mit den Eltern ihrer Teilnehmer in Kontakt zu bleiben und die Verantwortung für ihre eigene nationale Gruppe und ihre Pferde zu übernehmen. Dies bezieht sich auf die interne Vorbereitung des FYCup, die gesamte Kommunikation mit den Eltern oder Erziehungsberechtigten sowie die Kommunikation mit dem OK (Organisationskomitee) und der FEIF.
Die CLs sind für die Reisevorbereitungen zum und vom FYCup verantwortlich. Von ihnen wird erwartet, dass sie die reiterlichen Fähigkeiten der Teilnehmer und der Pferde kennen und die Gesamtverantwortung für die Reitausrüstung tragen (ist die Ausrüstung sicher? Ist sie gemäß den FEIF-Wettkampfregeln zulässig?). Die CLs schlafen zusammen mit ihrer Gruppe und sind für das allgemeine Verhalten und die Zusammenarbeit der ihnen anvertrauten Jugendlichen verantwortlich.
Die CLs sind für daswohlbefinden der Pferde ihres Landes verantwortlich (Gesundheit, Haltung, Fütterung und Sauberkeit im Stallbereich).
Der CL ist dafür verantwortlich, einen neuen Pokal mitzubringen, den der Gewinner behalten darf (dies ersetzt die Miniaturausgabe der vergangenen Jahre). Die neue Pokal muss robust und kompakt genug sein, damit sie in das (Flug-)Gepäck der Gewinner passt. (Weitere Informationen finden Sie unter Punkt 15 unten.)
Für die Eröffnungs- und Abschlusszeremonien muss der CL ZWEI Nationalflaggen mitbringen. Größe 150 x 90 cm (Flaggenstangen werden vom OK bereitgestellt).
Der CL unterstützt seine eigene Gruppe bei der Zusammenstellung eines Programms für den Länderabend (max. 7 Min. pro Land). Die Show sollte etwas über jedes Land und jede Kultur aussagen. Bitte beachten Sie, dass das OK nicht garantieren kann, dass eine Lautsprecheranlage für Musik, ein Beamer oder andere technische Hilfsmittel zur Verfügung stehen. Das Ziel des Länderabends ist es, den Teilnehmern zu helfen, sich kennenzulernen und etwas über die verschiedenen Länder zu erfahren, die beim FYCup vertreten sind.
Informationen für Team Leader (TL)
Team Leader müssen mindestens 22 Jahre alt sein. Der TL spricht fließend Englisch, hat Erfahrung mit Turnieren und verfügt über gute organisatorische Fähigkeiten. Die Aufgabe des TL besteht darin, sich um ein internationales Team von 6 Reitern zu kümmern, d. h. er ist dafür verantwortlich, einen positiven Teamgeist zu schaffen, das Team zu allen Trainingseinheiten zu begleiten, mit dem Team zu essen und die Teamprüfungen zu beaufsichtigen. TLs koordinieren die Team-Anmeldungen für den Wettbewerb und müssen mit den FYCup-Regeln und dem FEIF-Regelwerk vertraut sein.
TLs müssen am Montag zu Beginn des FYCup an der TL-Schulungsveranstaltung teilnehmen, und alle TLs müssen an den täglichen TL-Besprechungen teilnehmen.
Die Teams
Am ersten Abend teilen die Organisatoren alle Reiter in internationale Teams mit jeweils 6 Teilnehmern ein. Während der Trainingseinheiten und des Wettbewerbs arbeiten die Teilnehmer innerhalb ihrer internationalen Teams zusammen.
Reiten: Am Dienstag, Mittwoch und Donnerstag werden alle Teilnehmer von einer Reihe qualifizierter und erfahrener Reitlehrer unterrichtet. Es wird erwartet, dass alle Teilnehmer am gesamten Programm der Veranstaltung teilnehmen, und es liegt in der Verantwortung des CL, dafür zu sorgen, dass alle Teilnehmer diese Regel befolgen.
Unterkunft
Die Unterkunft für alle Teilnehmer des FYCup befindet sich in Hans-Nowak-Ring 1, 92286 Rieden, Deutschland.
Die Unterbringung erfolgt in Apartments. CL schlafen mit den Teilnehmern ihres Landes. TL teilen sich separate Unterkünfte auf dem Gelände.
Alle Teilnehmer müssen Folgendes mitbringen

• Wertsachen: Bitte bringen Sie keinen wertvollen Schmuck, keine teuren Geräte und nicht zu viel Bargeld mit. Es gibt keinen sicheren Ort, um diese Gegenstände aufzubewahren.

Pferde und Stallungen
Das gastgebende Land verfügt über große Koppeln für die Pferde, daher müsst ihr euer eigenes Zaunmaterial mitbringen, um eure eigenen kleinen Paddocks zu bauen. Ihr benötigt auch eure eigenen Utensilien zum Ausmisten und Sauberhalten der Paddocks. Schubkarren stehen zur Verfügung. Denkt daran, Wasser- und Futtertröge mitzubringen.
Die Anhänger können auf einem dafür vorgesehenen Parkplatz auf dem Gelände abgestellt werden. Bringt ein Anhängerschloss mit und stellt sicher, dass nichts im Anhänger zurückbleibt.
Im Stallbereich gibt es Platz für eure Reitausrüstung. Bringt bitte eure eigenen Sattelständer mit. Während der gesamten Veranstaltung wird jedes teilnehmende Pferd in einer eigenen Box untergebracht. Vergesst nicht, Wassereimer und Futtertröge mitzubringen, die euer Pferd benötigt. Teilnehmer, die Leihpferde reiten, müssen sich beim Organisationskomitee oder dem Pferdebesitzer erkundigen, wie dies gehandhabt wird.
Kosten
• Die Kosten für Teilnehmer betragen 950 € zuzüglich der Trainer- und Richtergebühr von 65 €.
• CL und andere (CL und andere Offizielle) zahlen 500 €, darin enthalten sind Unterkunft und alle Mahlzeiten. TL gelten als Freiwillige und erhalten kostenlose Verpflegung und Unterkunft, müssen jedoch ihre Reisekosten selbst tragen.
• Für die Reisekosten der Richter und Trainer wird eine separate Gebühr erhoben. Diese Gebühr beträgt 65 € pro Reiter und ist zusätzlich zur Teilnahmegebühr zu entrichten.
Die Zahlungen sind von den Ländern und nicht direkt von den Teilnehmern zu leisten!
Ankunft
Der FYCup beginnt am Montagnachmittag, dem 13. Juli, und endet am Sonntagmorgen, dem 19. Juli.
Bei der Ankunft werden der Pass und der Impfpass der Pferde überprüft und es wird kontrolliert, ob das Pferd frei von offensichtlichen Atemwegsinfektionen ist.

The following tournaments are qualifying tournaments for the FEIF Youth Cup:
Once all tournaments have been completed, a ranking will be determined as described in the FYC qualification mode, after which the eight participants for Team Germany will be selected.
On the first day, international teams are formed in which the young people train together under the supervision of a team leader. All teams train with all coaches in a wide variety of test types to find out which horse-rider combination will compete for their team in the respective test on the last two days of the tournament.
We are delighted to be able to provide the young people with five experienced trainers. All of them have many years of experience in Icelandic horse sports, some of them have already participated in previous FEIF Youth Cups, and they are highly committed and experienced in working with young people. "My name is Svenja Braun and I am delighted to be working as a trainer at the FEIF YouthCup again! I had an unforgettable time myself many, many years ago when I participated as a competitor. And now I love being able to come full circle for the second time in my role as a trainer. Just like the content of the FEIF Youth Cup, I stand for versatility, communication and joy in my work with horses. I can hardly wait and look forward to getting to know you all!"
Reinhard Loidl:
"I have been living and working with Icelandic horses since 1989. At first, I had a strong urge to be the best. I still feel that urge within me, but over the years I have come to realise that it is impossible to achieve this goal. At the same time, however, I also believe that this striving for excellence is necessary in order to learn, progress and improve. Meticulous and self-critical, but above all critical of what happens in "big" equestrian sports, I was always searching for answers. I had the privilege of finding a mentor in Michael Laussegger, former rider at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna and author. He taught me values both on horseback and, above all, off horseback, which I now try to pass on. It is the feeling, but also the absolute honesty that horses can give us, that reveal our weaknesses and excuses. I was very fortunate to have been friends with several Icelandic riders who naturally embodied this feeling. These include Thomas Ragnarsson and Albert Jónsson, among others. They didn't explain it, but you could sense "it" if you wanted to. My sporting successes were good for my ego and provided valuable memories. I always learned and expanded my knowledge from the defeats I encountered along the way. Passing on my knowledge, working with those who trust me, approaching a problem and trying to understand and solve it – this was and is my motivation for teaching."
Lena Maxheimer:
"Working with young riders is particularly close to my heart – which is precisely why I am delighted to be coaching at this year's FEIF Youth Cup. The Youth Cup is not only about sporting achievement, but above all about community, fairness and the joy of Icelandic horse riding. I am thrilled to accompany young talents on their journey, to support them professionally and at the same time to instil in them self-confidence, motivation and enjoyment of riding. Especially in an international environment such as the FEIF Youth Cup, participants learn to surpass themselves, gain new experiences and make valuable contacts. As a trainer, I see my role as promoting the individual strengths of each horse-rider combination and providing the best possible support in training and competition. For me, being part of this special event means, on the one hand, making an active contribution to promoting young talent in the sport and, on the other hand, I find it exciting to get to know Rieden better as a venue for the 2027 World Championships. I am very much looking forward to spending time together and exchanging ideas at the Feif Youth Cup, as its international character, the team spirit it demands and the versatility required in the competitions make it a very special event for young riders."
Bea Rusterholz:
"My first riding lesson took place in 1986 on Icelandic horses. My parents chose the stable because the horses have such thick manes to hold on to. Today, together with my husband Martin, I run this very Icelandic horse stud farm, Niederfeld, with 100 horses. We still have a large riding school, offering everything from children's lessons to trainer A courses. I took my first trainer exam in 1998 and fulfilled all the requirements to become an instructor in 2015. I rode quite actively in competitions for a while, but as the children got older, they always got the best horses in the stable and my focus shifted significantly more to teaching and coaching riders of all ages. The long-term enjoyment of working with horses is a high priority for me in my lessons. I believe that solid foundation work by both rider and horse is essential for all performances. That's why I looked beyond the Icelandic horse scene right from the start and regularly continued my training in dressage riding."
Lisa Schürger:
"I am delighted to be joining FYC in Rieden as a trainer in 2026 and to be able to accompany the young riders during what is sure to be an unforgettable week. Registration and more information
Dear all,
On behalf of FEIF and IPZV e.V, we would like to invite you to Germany for the 15th FEIF YouthCup (FYCup) at https://www.gut-matheshof.de.
Eligible riders are young riders who will TURN 14, 15, 16 or 17 years of age in the year of the FYCup. All participating horses have to be registered in WorldFengur.
Please find included information and forms needed for riders, and helpers. The FYCup will be organized in accordance with the FEIF Rules and Regulations 2026 (published on April, 1st). The description of the tests of the FYCup are presented in the sport rules and can be downloaded from the website:

The total cost for the participants is €1015 (includes 950€ participant fee plus trainers’ and judges’ fee of €65). Country Leaders (CL) and other officials pay €500.- this includes lodging and all meals. Team Leaders (TL) will receive free food and accommodation (no participation fee).
Eligible riders
Eligible riders are all youngsters who will TURN 14, 15, 16 or 17 years of age in the year of the FYCup. A proof of age is required; a copy of valid ID, such as a passport or similar, is to be sent to office@feif.org
National youth leaders are responsible for selecting only eligible riders.
All participants must be part of a group cared for by a nominated Country Leader (CL). It is possible for a CL to look after participants from more than one nation. We highly recommend that one Country Leader max. looks after 7 participants or is accompanied by a second one as the team is larger than 7 participants. Arrangements of this kind must be confirmed to the FEIF Office in writing.
Horses
The FYCup is an international competition. All participating horses (including rented horses for participants) need to provide a valid passport and be registered in WorldFengur. The data on the horses’ registration paper will be checked against data in WorldFengur. All horses have to be shod according to FEIF Sport Rules and have the correct vaccinations – see chapter 4. FEIF and FEI vaccination rules.

Horses that are not correctly vaccinated will not be allowed to participate. Be sure to check the vaccination papers in due time (in case of doubt, ask your veterinarian for help).
Proper documentation of the vaccination history must be provided when the horse arrives at the venue. Any horses arriving without a complete vaccination history shall be denied entry to the venue.
Insurance
All participants MUST have a valid personal insurance, covering health, accident and third-party liability. Arrangements for horse insurance are the responsibility of the rider/owner together with the CL. All riders and volunteers take part in the FYCup totally at their own risk.
The type of insurance policy taken up must be carefully considered by each participant, and reflect particular circumstances such as medical condition, whether the participant comes with their own horse and equipment, or is renting a horse and equipment, etc. CL may also want to take out a suitable insurance policy, particularly covering their third-party responsibilities.
FEIF and the host organizers do not accept any responsibility for injuries and accidents to participants or volunteers or horses.
Riders having to use a rental horse must make sure that the horse is adequately insured, either by existing insurance arrangements of the owner, or a particular insurance policy for the event, arranged in agreement with the owner in advance of the FYCup. All arrangements are strictly between the owner of the horses and those renting the horse. FEIF and the OC will not get involved in any of these arrangements.
Liabilities
Rider: Riders declare that participation in this event, and accommodation and keep of the horses, occur at their own risk.
All participants are required to fill out and sign a liability form. This also needs to be signed by the parents or a responsible person. A scanned copy of the form should be sent to office@feif.org, and CL needs to bring the hardcopy paper original to the FYCup.
Horse: For the duration of the event, each participating horse must have a valid liability insurance. As an owner / rider you remain responsible for any damages. Neither FEIF, nor the event organization or IPZV e.V. accept any liability. Neither the organisers nor IPZV e.V., nor the land-owner may be made responsible for damage to humans, animals and / or equipment. The rider declares that the horse is healthy, comes from a healthy stock and is vaccinated according to FEI rules.
Please note that for all international horse travel TRACES regulations apply.
Note for parents
Parents, friends and relatives are most welcome to attend the competition part of FYCup as spectators. However, parents, and personal trainers and other supporters are asked to respect the rule that they are not allowed on FYCup grounds during the training part of the event without explicit permission.
During the competition parents are kindly requested to remain within the area designated to spectators. Parents are not allowed to assist the riders during the competition.

Rules:
Valid rules are FEIF General and Sport Rules 2026. Additional information will be given in a number of online meetings in the spring of 2026.
Participants of the FYCup are not allowed AT ANY TIME to consume nicotine or alcohol and use any other recreational drugs. Breaches of this rule may result in the participant being sent home at their own cost.
Information for Country Leaders (CL)
CL will be at least 25 years of age. It is very important that CLs speak good English, are able to work in a team, and have the ability to assert themselves. The CL should inform, and if necessary, remind their group in advance about the ideals and the rationale of the FYCup, and the importance of the international spirit of co-operation. All CLs must participate in daily CL meetings. The main task for CLs is to liaise with the parents of their participants, to be responsible for their own national group, and their horses. This refers to the internal preparation of the FYCup, all communication with parents or legal guardians, communication with the OC (Organising Committee) and FEIF.
CLs are responsible for the travelling arrangements to and from the FYCup; they are expected to know the riding abilities of participants and the horses, and carry overall responsibility for the riding equipment (is the equipment safe? is it allowed under FEIF competition rules?); CLs sleep together with their group and are responsible for the general behaviour and co-operation of the youngsters in their charge.
CLs are responsible for the welfare of the horses of their country (health, keeping, food, and tidiness in the stable area).
The CL is responsible for bringing a new trophy, which the winner can keep (this is instead of the miniature of previous years). The new trophy needs to be robust and compact enough to fit into the (flight) luggage of the winners. (For more info, see point 15 below)
For the opening and closing ceremonies CL needs to bring TWO national flags with them. Size 150x90 cm (flag poles will be provided by the OC).
The CL will support their own group in putting together a programme for the Country Evening (max 7 min. per country). The show should say something about each country and culture. Please note that the OC cannot guarantee that there will be a speaker system for music, a beamer or any other such technical support. The aim of the Country Evening is to help the participants to get to know each other and learn something about the different countries represented on the FYCup.
Information for Team Leaders (TL)
Team Leaders will be at least 22 years of age. The TL speaks English fluently, has experience of competitions, and has good organizing skills. The task of the TL is to look after an international team of 6 riders, meaning that they are responsible for creating a positive team spirit, accompanying the team to all coaching sessions, sharing meals with the team, and overseeing the team tests. TLs will co-ordinate team entries for the competition, s/he must be familiar with FYCup rules, and the FEIF Rule Book.
TL are required to participate in the TL training event on Monday at the beginning of the FYCup, and all TL must take part in daily TL meetings.
The Teams
On the first evening, the organisers allocate all riders to international teams of 6 participants; during the training sessions as well as the competition, participants will work together within their international teams.
Riding: On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, all participants will undergo coaching by a range of qualified and experienced riding instructors. It is expected that all participants take part in the total programme of the event, and it is the responsibility of the CL to make sure all participants follow this rule.
Accommodation
The lodging for all involved in the FYCup is at Hans-Nowak-Ring 1, 92286 Rieden, Germany
Accommodation will be in apartments. CL will sleep with their country participants. TL will share separate accommodation on the site.
All participants need to bring
Horses and Stabling
The host country has big paddocks for the horses, so you need to bring your own fencing material to build your own small paddock. You also need your own tools for mucking out and keeping the paddocks clean. Wheelbarrows will be available. Remember to bring drinking buckets and feed bowls.
The trailers may be left in a designated parking lot on site. Bring a trailer lock and make sure nothing is kept in the trailer.
There will be room for your tack in the stable block. Bring your own saddle stand. During the whole event, each participating horse is accommodated in its own box. Do not forget to bring water buckets and feeding buckets as required by your horse, Participants on rental horses will need to inquire with the OC or the horse owner, how this is handled.
Costs
Payments should be made by the countries and not directly by the participants!
Arrival
The FYCup begins in the afternoon of Monday, 13th of July and ends on Sunday morning, 19th of July.
At the time of arrival, the horses’ passport and vaccination record will be checked, and whether the horse is free from obvious respiratory infections.
